Bihar Police Sub Inspector (SI) – Complete Guide (2025)

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Age Limit:

    • General (Male): 20–37 years

    • OBC/EBC Male & All Females: up to 40 years

    • SC/ST Male & Female: up to 42 years

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

  • Physical Standards:

    • Male (General/OBC/EBC): Height ≥165 cm, Chest 81–86 cm

    • Male (SC/ST): Height ≥160 cm, Chest 79–84 cm

    • Female: Height ≥155 cm, Weight ≥48 kg

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Male:

    • 1-mile run in 6 min 30 sec

    • High Jump: Minimum 4 ft

    • Long Jump: Minimum 12 ft

    • Shot Put: 16 ft (7.26 kg ball)

  • Female:

    • 1 km run in 6 min

    • High Jump: Minimum 3 ft

    • Long Jump: Minimum 9 ft

    • Shot Put: 10 ft (4 kg ball)

Preliminary Exam
