    • Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Diploma in Education (Special Education).

    • OR Graduation with a two-year D.El.Ed.

  • CTET: Must have qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Paper-I) conducted by CBSE.

  • Language Proficiency: Should be able to teach in both English and Hindi.

3. Selection Process

  • Written Examination (for permanent recruitment).

  • Interview or Demo Class (often used for contractual positions).

4. PRT Salary in Kendriya Vidyalaya

  • Basic Pay: Around ₹35,400 per month (as per 7th CPC for permanent staff).

  • Gross Salary: ₹40,000–₹45,000 including allowances.

  • Contractual PRT: ₹21,000–₹27,500 per month (varies by location).
